KBD Calibration

KBD Calibration

When do I need to calibrate my KBD?

If you find that your KBD control is not working as it should, calibration may help. Drifting, poor control, or unsatisfactory performance, while uncommon, are issues that may be addressed with a calibration of your unit.

The calibration process for the KBD is found in the “Control” tab in the WebUI. You can begin the calibration process by selecting “Start Calibration” for either the joystick or the rocker, and the WebUI will provide prompts to complete calibration.

In this article, this process has been expanded on in some further steps for clarification.  Please refer to the below instructions for a more detailed view of this process.

KBD Calibration Instructions

  1. Navigate to the “Control” tab in the WebUI, and scroll down to find “Cheat Code Calibration” at the bottom of this page (shown in the image below).

If you are having trouble accessing the WebUI for the KBD, you can find more information about WebUI accessibility here: Accessing the WebUI

  2. To calibrate the Rocker, select “Start Rocker Calibration,” and follow the on screen prompts.

    1. A popup will appear, which says “Please keep the Rocker switch in the center position and click OK.” Make sure that the rocker is in a neutral position, and press “OK” to proceed.

    2. Then, the window will display the following instructions: “Please operate the Rocker to the right and left to the maximum travel, and then click OK.

Maximum travel” refers to the full extent of rocker movement. In other words, press the rocker fully down to the right, and then fully down to the left. Once you have completed this step, select “
      OK” to proceed.

    3. If you did not do the above process correctly, a popup will appear that says “CALIBRATION FAILED. PLEASE, START OVER.” In this case, you will be required to restart the calibration process.

Rocker calibration may fail if you press the rocker too quickly, or if you do not press the Rocker down fully either to the left or right.

    4. If the process was completed correctly, the window will read “CALIBRATION SUCCESSFUL

      The Rocker is now calibrated.

  3. To calibrate the Joystick, select “Start Joystick Calibration,” and follow the on screen prompts.

    1. A popup will appear, which says “Please keep the joystick in the center position and click OK.

Make sure that the joystick is in a neutral position, and press “
      OK” to proceed.

    2. Then, the window will display the following instructions: Please operate the joystick right, left, up, down, clockwise, and counterclockwise to the maximum stroke, and then click OK.

Maximum stroke” refers to the full extent of joystick direction. In other words, using slow, intentional movements, move the joystick up, down, clockwise, and counterclockwise to their fullest extent.

      Please note that “
clockwise” and “counterclockwise” refer to the “twist” function of the Joystick. When prompted to move the joystick in this way, please twist the Joystick clockwise to the fullest extent, and then counterclockwise in the same way.

Once you have completed this step, select “
      OK”.

    3. If you did not do the above process correctly, a popup will appear, which reads “CALIBRATION FAILED. PLEASE, START OVER

Joystick calibration may fail if you move the joystick too quickly, or if you do not move the joystick using the correct combination of directions. Please make sure to closely follow the directions listed in the prompt.

    4. If the process was completed correctly, the window will read “CALIBRATION SUCCESSFUL

      The Joystick is now calibrated.
