Formatting USB for MCU Update (Using Mac Devices)

If you need to prepare a USB drive for an MCU update, follow these simple steps using your Mac computer:

  1. Open Disk Utility: Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of your screen, type "Disk Utility," and press Enter to open the application.

  2. Select Your USB Drive: Find the USB drive you want to format in the list on the left side of the Disk Utility window. Click on it to select it.

  3. Click on "Erase": Look at the top right corner of the window and click on the "Erase" button.

  4. Choose the Format: In the window that appears, find the "Format" dropdown menu and select "MS-DOS (FAT 32)."

  5. Start the Formatting Process: Click the "Erase" button at the bottom right corner of the window. The formatting process will start, and it may take a few moments.

  6. Complete the Process: When the formatting is finished, click "Done." Your USB drive is now formatted and ready to be used for "Step 1" of the MCU update process on your camera.

By following these steps, you can ensure your USB drive is correctly formatted for the update.
