Creating a Custom Splash Screen for the PLAY
When the PLAY is idle, it will display a splash screen, which can be set to the BirdDog QR, BirdDog Logo, a black screen, or a custom image. You can select any of these options in the PLAY WebUI under AV Setup, Device Settings, and “Select SplashScreen,” as shown below:

If you choose “custom image,” please make sure that the following image requirements are met:
.PNG format
1920 x 1080 resolution
Less than 5 MB file size
8 bit color depth
This will make the file compatible to be used with the PLAY. If the above does not work, you can try the following tips:
Remove the alpha channel from the .PNG
Change the file format from .PNG to .JPG, and then back to .PNG
