BirdDog KBD Firmware Release Notes
Firmware Version 6.1.557

Improvements & New Features:
- Added a pop up in BirdUI to show when a firmware update is in progress.
- Added joystick and zoom rocker calibration to the [Control] tab of the BirdUI. Affectionately called Cheat Code Calibration.
- Updated the layout of Access Manager Configuration in the [Network] tab of the BirdUI.
- Updated [Dashboard] text in the BirdUI when no devices are added.
- Optimized Telemetry mode for X1 and X1 Ultra.
- Social Media Links in BirdUI now link correctly and open in new tabs.
This release includes the following fixes:
- Fixed an issue where buttons on the KBD would become unresponsive.
- Fixed an issue that caused Remote IP List to not function as expected.
Known Limitations:
- NDI Discovery Service is not currently configurable (compatibility coming soon with firmware update.).
- BirdDog P400 & P4K are not compatible with video preview on KBD. They will show telemetry mode displaying exposure, white balance, and focus settings. To activate the telemetry view hold the [CAM] button correlating to the device for a full 1 second (a long hold).
- AI Enable, and AI Confirm do not work for controlling AI Tracking on BirdDog X5 Ultra on this firmware version (compatibility coming soon with firmware update.).
Firmware Version 6.1.556
Improvements & New Features:
- Added the ability to delete devices directly from the KBD display.
- Updated the layout of the System section in BirdUI to match other BirdDog products.
- Added a checkbox option to keep network settings when using the Reset System Defaults option in BirdUI.
- Added a confirmation popup when Restore System Defaults is initiated.
- Increased the border thickness of highlighted items in light mode on the KBD display.
- Updated NDI Router Name to allow a maximum of 9 characters.
- Added superfine control as an on/off toggle option for the joystick button.
This release includes the following fixes:
- Resolved an issue where, in some cases, the DNS 1 field would be empty.
- Fixed an issue where the bright exposure setting could not be adjusted when connected to a BirdDog X1.
- Fixed an issue that caused the KBD to become unresponsive when navigating the device list with 6 or fewer devices.
- Fixed an issue where text-based details displayed incorrect values for BirdDog X1 and X1 Ultra cameras on the KBD display.
