Setting up Wi-Fi on X-Series Cameras

A quick walkthrough on how to connect your X1 or X1 Ultra to a Wi-Fi network. At the bottom of this article is a link to video demonstration of these steps.

Step 1: Click the "Network" tab on the left side of the WebUI.



Step 2: Click the "Wi-Fi Network" tab.



3. Select "ON".



Step 4: Click your SSID. If there are NO SSIDs populating; power cycle the camera and return to this step. If after a power cycle you are still not seeing expected SSIDs please contact support at help@birddog.tv

Step 5: Once you select a SSID a pop-up box will appear. 



Step 6: Enter the password for your SSID.

Step 7: Press "Join". Then a "In Progress" status below the Password field will appear.



Step 8: Once the status chances from "In progress" to "CONNECTED" select the "X" in the upper right corner of the window.



Step 9: Return to the Dashboard and see Wi-Fi Status shows as "Connected".



Step 10: Wi-Fi is now fully connected. The following steps are to set Wi-Fi as the Primary NIC. 

Step 11: Click the "AV Setup" tab on the left side of the WebUI.



Step 12: Select the "WI-FI" button.



Step 13: Returning to the Dashboard. It can now be seen that the Preferred NIC is "Wi-Fi".



Step 14: Wi-Fi is now fully connected and set as the cameras primary NIC.
