Connection Subscriptions

Connection Subscriptions

Subscriptions

BirdDog Cloud is licensed by Subscriptions. This allows access to the platform for a certain number of concurrent connections. For example, each live connection you have between two locations counts as a single connection. You can select the appropriate package for your organisation when purchasing a Subscription Package. The amount of connections can be changed at any time (increased or decreased) according to your current requirements.

It is possible to auto-renew subscriptions to ensure the service continues uninterrupted.

Connection Subscriptions explained

When you first sign up for BirdDog Cloud, you are not subscribed for any connections. This means that each connection will be watermarked with a 'Trial' message burned in.

You may select a package from the shop, this package will have the included number of connections. These connections represent the maximum number of simultaneous, or concurrent media connections you have operating across your organisation. The system will count any type of connection in this number, including RTMP, Cloud SRT, Cloud Connect, Generic SRT and Recording. If you exceed the number of subscribed connections in your BirdDog Cloud organisation the subsequent connections will also be watermarket with a 'Trial' message burnt in.

The moment your connection is stopped, the usage is released allowing you to use a different connection. You are able to purchase extra connections to scale BirdDog Cloud to your organisations needs.

Please note that any connections that were active when an Endpoint went offline will be counted. You should always stop any connections before shutting down an enpoint.
